Hi, I am Bhushan Nikhar.

I have worked for over a decade in software engineering and have developed deep insights into businesses and their use of technology.

I have seen organizations make both good and poor use of technology. Depending on their technological roadmap, businesses have either performed exceptionally well or fallen behind their competitors.

I believe technology today is an enabler for businesses — it serves business value and should not be seen as a separate IT unit.

Businesses must now embrace technology at their core to unlock greater efficiency and reach. Gone are the days when technology could simply be outsourced to external service providers. Such an approach can also deprive a business of valuable technological and data insights that could have been discovered internally.

Businesses providing exceptional value today are data-centric and constantly seek insights from their data.

For businesses to take such technological ownership, they must make bold and decisive moves. Many professionals in the industry offer paid consultancy to guide these initiatives. However, no individual knows everything — and consultants often benefit from different perspectives to form better opinions.

My earlier blog, SimpleTechnology (built on WordPress), focused on helping businesses and consultants move in that direction.
Over time, many readers reached out to discuss topics I had published there and sought my advice.
That inspired me to upgrade this blog to also share my personal technological perspectives. This helps independent consultants understand my viewpoints without the need for lengthy discussions — and helps me avoid repeating the same advice across different conversations.

This new website is intended to be both a knowledge base and a blog.

Since I’m personally developing this website, it’s taking some time to implement all the features and knowledge base components. (I feel more connected to SimpleTechnology by building it this way.)

Over time, I aim for this initiative — SimpleTechnology — to provide even greater value than its previous WordPress version.
